Is Tom Brady finally ready to return to the NFL next season?
February 23, 2009

After the Patriots missed the playoffs last season, you just know Pats fans are praying for Brady to recover on time for next season’s opener.
And according to Tom Brady, he is saying that his recovery from knee surgery remains on schedule despite all the rumors that tell otherwise. He even said he doesn’t see any reason why he won’t be ready for their season opener in September once the new 2009-10 NFL football season gets going. (Let’s hope it’s not against the Chiefs again…)
And while the New England Patriots quarterback remains optimistic about getting back to form in time for the next campaign, Brady is not telling when will he exactly make the return to the field yet.
‘’I’m feeling great. I’m feeling really good. Everything is progressing just as I expected,’’ Tom Brady said at a charity event. ‘’It’s just a matter of getting to that time.’’
‘’I wish it was right around the corner. I wish it was here now. It’s not, but the competitor in me has to sit back and wait and continue to work and try to get stronger.’’
Tom Brady was asked if he’d already be training for the coming season if training camp started today and he said he’d be ready although he has no idea if his trainer will let him. ‘’I was out there working out yesterday with him, and he feels great, and I feel great,’’ Brady said.
Brady adds that contrary to some reports, there have been no further setbacks since a post-operative infection developed in his surgically repaired knee.
And since they were already talking to Tom Brady, questions regarding to football shifted on his rumored engagement to girlfriend Gisele Bundchen.
‘’Maybe, maybe not,’’ Brady said. ‘’No, all those reports are, unfortunately, not true. I’m in a great spot in my life. I have a lot of people that care about me and that I love, and love being around. My girlfriend is certainly one of them.’’

I am a Patriots fan from Sao Paulo, Brazil.
I really liked your blog with the Patriots mentioned item. I grew up watching Steve Grogan and Stanley Morgan.
I try to follow as much NFL news as I can with the internet.
