Rampage Jackson walking away from the UFC?
September 28, 2009

And it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to determine that Jackson is the latest guy to have a feud with UFC president Dana White.
Yep, in a shocking turn of events, the UFC lost one of it’s more popular MMA fighters after fight fans learned that Rampage Jackson was quitting the UFC. You read it, he’s quitting, but since MMA fighters who have feuded with White ended up coming back to the UFC anyway, we’re really not sure if this thing is for real this time or not.
But as far as Quinton Rampage Jackson is concerned, it’s as real as it gets, for now. And after Dana White called this former UFC light heavyweight champion a baby for choosing to pursue the movie business and put his MMA career on hold, Jackson doesn’t want anything to do with White’s balding chrome right now.
”Rampage is a grown man,” Dana White said. ”He’s acting like a baby right now, but he’s a grown man. If he wants to be in the movie business, Rampage, good luck to you, man. I hope he makes it big, and I’m not being sarcastic. I hope the movie thing works out for him. If that’s what he truly wants to do, and that’s what he feels and that’s what he thinks his career is, I wish him all the luck in the world.”
In case you didn’t know, Rampage Jackson will be in the new ‘A-Team‘ movie as B.A. Baracus, the character Mr. T himself played back in the day. Rampage figured getting this movie deal was more important than salvaging what’s left of his MMA career.
Well, let’s sure hope it all works out for my boy Rampage.
As far as White calling him a baby, you can bet your ass Rampage didn’t like it one bit. In a statement on his official website entitled ”Who’s the baby?”, Rampage responded to White’s comments saying that ”I’m a grown man and I’ll be damned if anybody disrespects me.”
”I’m not having it, it’s not happening!”
