The Los Angeles Lakers have trouble entering the 2009 NBA Playoffs

It appears that the Los Angeles Lakers young center Andrew Bynum will not be back before the end of the NBA regular season. Los Angeles Lakers Head Coach Phil Jackson stated last week that Andrew Bynum has upgraded his training beyond running on a treadmill, like any other NBA Team the Los Angeles Lakers are more concerned of their health than home court advantage. The return of Andrew Bynum will be expected at the start of the 2009 NBA playoffs rather than the orginal date set by the Los Angeles Lakers in the early weeks of April. Andrew Bynum is returning to the Los Angeles Lakers frontcourt from a torn medial collateral ligament in his right knee suffered when teammate Kobe Bryant fell on it early this year.

“He has a considerable amount of time yet before he’s going to be even at practice with us,” Phil Jackson said

The Los Angeles Lakers are going to need Andrew Bynum to be at full force if they have every intention of making it to the 2009 NBA finals again, but be successful compared to last year’s loss. The Los Angeles Lakers are soft and lack the size to be a great contender thus being exposed to a possible upset in the 2009 NBA Playoffs. The Boston Celtics can catch scoring runs down the stretch of the NBA Playoffs.

The Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Boston Celtics and the Cleveland Cavaliers both times in this year’s NBA Regular Season. The Boston Celtics do not have James Posey anymore, thus limiting the possibility of slowing down Kobe Bryant. The Cleveland Cavaliers do not have anyone to slow down Kobe Bryant, which was very noticeable in both their encounters. The Los Angeles Lakers have a better shot this year compared to the team in last years NBA Finals.
