Tracy McGrady is possibly going to be traded at the end of the NBA Regular Season. The Houston Rockets are clearly doing well despite the loss of Tracy McGrady who has undergone microfracture surgery on his knee that has bothered him since the start of the 2008 – 2009 NBA Regular Season.

There were also rumors circulating that the Houston Rockets were trying to deal Tracy McGrady to any takers before the news that he would be out for the remainder of the season with his current injury.

Tracy McGrady has played along side his cousin Vince Carter with the Toronto Raptors after moving to the Orlando Magic were he teamed up with Grant Hill which arguably was his prime. The long time NBA All Star has never moved past the first round of the NBA Playoffs in his entire career. Once he went to the Houston Rockets, Tracy McGrady has been riddle with injuries that have hurt the NBA club’s championship runs.

Another fact that would possibly hurt the potential trading of Tracy McGrady is that NBA players that have undergone the same microfracture surgery have been a shadow of their former selves once they get back into the action. Only Amare Stoudemire of the Phoenix Suns has successfully brought the same intensity to the NBA hard court.

An advice to the Houston Rockets, cousins Tracy McGrady and Vince Carter are not winners. Both have been showboating instead of competing in an elite level of the NBA’s finest. Vince Carter was only known for his high flying act while Tracy McGrady was well known for his once dominant scoring run with the Orlando Magic.

However those days are well buried in the record books and are not in any case going to come back. Both players are good brand models, but both players are yet to learn what the previous generation of NBA greats had. The likes of Michael Jordan and Hakeem Olajuwon are role models of players who want to be the best. Tracy McGrady and Vince Carter are just eye candy with no drive whatsoever in winning.
